Yankee Sipping Address in Checkout 

Findings: (Via FullStory) users are dead clicking on the Shipping step to advance in checkout.  

Hypothesis: By adding visual cues that the first step is continue as guest/login is the first step, we will decrease dead clicks, increase checkout progression, and increase transactions.

Metrics:

  • ⬇️ Shipping dead clicks

  • ⬆️ Checkout progression

  • ⬆️ Transactions

Findings: Users are having a hard time finding/selecting Pick Up in Store options on PDP. 

Hypothesis: By increasing visibility of the Pick Up in Store option on PDPs, we can increase the number of users selecting this option and increase transactions.

By allowing users to close the global carousel, we can increase transactions and decrease bounces.

Graco Dead Clicks on Images

Finding

  • Customers dead clicking on Feature and Benefit images/text on main Car Seats, Stollers, and Home and Gear pages. 

  • The feature descriptions and images on the main category pages look like they would be interactive. 

  • Users are clicking on these images expecting to be taken to the product page, instead they have to find the Shop Now buttons.

Impact:

  • 16% of the people on the main category PLP pages are clicking the Features & Benefit images or text. 

Recommendation

  • Link the images/text to the appropriate PLP or PDP.
